Who we are
Since 1981 Dave Steigerwald and Pat Dougherty have been privileged to create and remodel custom homes as well as several popular restaurants along the beach corridor and north county of San Diego, California.
Their skill and quality product have earned Steigerwald-Dougherty much respect from their clients and fellow professionals over the years. Their honest and diligent approach has truly earned SDI a stellar reputation as one of San Diego’s premier custom home builders.
SDI’s familiar periwinkle-blue building is a familiar icon of the South Cedros Ave. Design and Shopping district of Solana Beach with its distinctive arched roof reflecting the familiar Quonset-hut architecture of this historic area.
Steigerwald-Dougherty has set the bar for building integrity and quality in San Diego and is working to continue this tradition for many years to come.
